A 40-year-old Sephardic synagogue in Rishon LeZion underwent a meaningful transformation with the installation of a new oak Aron Kodesh by Israber (ישראביר) — a project that brought together tradition, craftsmanship, and architectural precision.

History of the Synagogue

This Sephardic synagogue, located at 13 Saul Bellow St  Street in Rishon LeZion, has served its local community for over 30 years. Though rich in tradition and spirit, the building’s interior had aged over the decades and was in need of renovation — particularly its Aron Kodesh, the central fixture of Jewish prayer life.

The synagogue’s rabbi, Rav Gorin, shared the community’s desire to renew the heart of their Beit Knesset with a new, dignified Aron Kodesh. A professional design had already been developed by an architect in Tel Aviv, and the challenge was to realize it with full precision.

That’s where Israber (ישראביר) came in. The team at ישראביר was entrusted with turning this design into reality — crafting a new Aron Kodesh out of solid oak, with exact adherence to the original architectural plans. The result was so accurate that the designer himself expressed interest in visiting the synagogue to witness the finished work.

The new Aron Kodesh now stands proudly at the front of the sanctuary, giving new life and elegance to the space. It blends timeless materials with meticulous craftsmanship — a true statement of respect for tradition and community.

This project is a proud example of ישראביר’s mission: to honor Jewish heritage by creating synagogue furniture that uplifts and inspires.
